For Insurers

Causes of loss reliably established.

Fire, hail, overvoltage, arc faults: when PV plants and battery storage are damaged you need a reliable cause analysis and a transparent loss amount quickly. That is exactly what we deliver.

At a glance: We establish causes of loss forensically and quantify the loss transparently — from a single module to a large-scale storage system.

Frequently asked questions — insurers

How quickly are you on site after a loss?

We respond to enquiries within 24 hours and prioritise losses where evidence needs to be preserved. Offices in Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, ready to deploy across Europe.

Can you prove hidden damage, for example after hail?

Yes. Micro-cracks in solar cells are often invisible from the outside; with electroluminescence measurement we make them visible and distinguish hail damage from transport or installation damage. This allows the indemnifiable loss to be delineated cleanly.

What do you provide for battery storage damage?

Cause analysis for thermal runaway, BMS faults and cell defects including chain of causation and loss amount. Plus AwSV review and assessment of consequential damage, from home storage to container-scale systems.

What happens with a total loss?

We determine the residual value of usable components, including the second-life potential of the modules in battery systems. This reduces the settlement amount and creates a sound basis for crediting the residual value.

Do you distinguish serial faults from individual defects?

Yes, and this is often decisive for settlement. Through sample measurements, fault patterns and where necessary laboratory analysis we determine whether there is a product fault, an installation fault or an insured event.
